    Great content and most of the research supports the pillars cited. There has been so much empirical research done on the current state of EE (yuck and sadly low) and what to do about it. Given the compelling rewards and positive business outcomes, why have we not seem more progress worldwide? This is a maddening problem for me and many others. Any insights or thoughts?

    I found this really useful. Comprehensive and sensible advice all round. One thing I would add to employee engagement programmes is to be sure that you folow them up with progress reports to he staff, to keep them involved and for staff to recognise that you really are working on improving the work environment.
